September. This event

browse a bit, or find a true
bargain. Local music and
lots of FOOD. From 10:00 a.m.
to 6:00 p.m. on Abbot Kinney
Boulevard, between Main Street
and Venice Boulevards.
Venice Art Walk,
featuring open artist studios
(by foot and bus shuttle), Silent
Auction, Food Faire and more.

Family Clinic. A full weekend
of art, music and architecture.
The
Venice Garden Tour
is an annual May event that
showcases unusual and delightful
gardens that exemplify the creative
and original tastes of their
owners, as well as the talents
of local landscape designers.
The Venice Garden Tour is a
fundraising event to benefit
the Neighborhood Youth Association's
Las Doradas Children's Center
and Learning Center. NYA was
founded in 1906 by the Episcopal
Diocese of Los Angeles and has
enhanced the lives of thousands
of "at risk" children.
Venice Beach Carnevale
held annually in June is a costumed celebration that focuses on the art and
artists who live and work in Venice. Windward Circle is filled with
several thousand colorfully costumed revelers and more than two dozen acts performing
in areas as rich and diverse as the Venice community including rock, blues, jazz,
cabaret, reggae, R&B, soul and country rockabilly vocalist and musicians, belly
dancers, Japanese Butoh dance theatre, a host of performance artists, fire-spinners
and dancers. Numerous local merchants donate thousands of dollars worth of goods
and services, which are awarded as prizes to the costumed participants. The
next festival is in July, 2008.
