Advocacy & Representation
Government Relations:
The Chamber works closely with our elected
officials and their staff members, our local
government agencies and the police department
to bring our members the most up-to-date
information that affects their businesses
and the quality of life in the Venice area.
Other Chambers:
We are involved with the surrounding area
Chambers to exchange ideas and promote regional
business growth.
Marketing & Promotion
Member Directory:
We produce a semiannual Member Directory
with a complementary directory listing of
all of our members plus the opportunity
to purchase display advertising. Only Chamber
members are included in the publication,
increasing your visibility in the community.
Newsletter:
Our annual newsletter "The Wave"
profiles new members, showcases member businesses,
offers a calendar where members can promote
upcoming events, and provides an opportunity
to advertise your business with display
ads and inserts.
Web Site:
The Chamber's new web site (www.venicechamber.net)
provides information on the Chamber and
the Venice community. Our members receive
a complementary member directory listing
with a link to their business web site and
the ability to offer discounts to members.
Members may list their events in the calendar
section.
Referrals:
The Chamber receives many requests for recommendations
of goods or services. Only Chamber members
are referred to the newcomers, visitors
and residents who contact us.
Networking & Involvement
Monthly Mixers:
Monthly mixers are held the fourth Wednesday
of each month from 5:30 - 7 pm at a member's
business. As a member you may have the ability
to host a mixer or donate a door prize to
introduce your product or services to the
community. Mixer locations and hosts are
announced in the newsletter, via a postcard
mailing to all members, by email to members
and interested community persons, and in
press releases to area media.
Committees:
By active participation in one or more of
Chamber committees, you will have many opportunities
to network with others in and out of your
field. Committee participation is encouraged
of all members. Current committees consist
of: Government
Affairs,
Communications, Membership, and Mixers/Seminars.
Joint Events:
The Chamber holds joint events with other
area chambers to broaden your network opportunities.

activities and current business and legislative
issues.

on current issues of interest.
